Tree Plantation drive by Lions Club of Ferozepur
Ferozepur, July 11 2019: Lions Club of Ferozepur, in collaboration with Punjab Home Guards, organized a massive tree plantation in Home Guards Complex, under tutelage of Project Chairman, Lion Comdt. R.K,Awasthi (Retd.) along with Lion Subhash Choudhary, President, Lion Rakesh Kumar Pathak, Secretary and Lion Ramesh Kumar Gupta, Treasurer.
Lions Club Ferozepur is a non-political international level social organizations working in various fields for the needy class and taking care of environment is one of its prime project.
More than 1.4 million Lions worldwide are in a new era of service with a motto that together, we can and we will achieve our campaign goals and serve our world in need.
Charanjit Singh Divisional Commandant, Punjab Home Guards thanked the Lions Club for selecting our campus for tree plantation. He said, the environment protection is of paramount importance and I appreciate the initiative of Lions Club’s commitment to save and preserve environment.
He reminded that the temperature is going up in the region and rainfall is decreasing causing imbalance in the invironment.
He assured the members to see the grown up plants in coming two three months as I and my staff take every possible step to see that tree grows.
Proejct Chairman thanked all the members for their presence to encourage the President Lion Subhash Choudhary at his first service project.
