One booked for obstructing SDO Cantonment performing duty

Ferozepur, September 9, 2018: On the complaint of Sub-Divisional Officer, Cantonment Board, Ferozepur Cantt, one person has been booked for obstructing in performing the official duty.

Divulging with the details, Satish Kumar, SDO Cantonment Board said, he had gone at the plot of Ashok Kunder under orders from the Management Defence State Officer, Circle Jalandhar who had illegally occupied the Government of India land and when the Cantt Board officials tried to construct the four-wall, then Ashok Kumar obstructed them in performing their official duty.

Mohinder Singh, Investigating Officer in the case said, a case has been registered under Sections 353 – Assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty,  186 – Obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions and 506 – provides punishment for the offence of criminal intimidation, of IPC against Ashok Kumar son of Gurbaksh Rai, resident of 111, Kachha Tota, Ferzepur Cantt on the complaint of SDO Cantonment Board and further investigations are still on.  However, no arrest has been made in this case and Ashok Kumar too could not be contacted to know his version.
