‘Social death’ of drug addict is more dangerous than ‘Physical death’: Dr.Narang

Ferozepur July 17, 2018: Each category of persons needs to work diligently for the elimination of the disease like drug addiction, which is hollowing out the younger generation, said Dr.Sheetal Narang, the Senior Medical officer while speaking at the Anti-Drug programme organized at Govt. High School Ruhala Hazi in Mamdot block, to create awareness among the people and school students.  

He said that the drug addicts may make their life miserable, but he dies on the day when comes under the influence of evil drug and starts consuming it and he himself becomes a reason of his fall.

He said that the progress of nation and community is possible with the feeling of responsibility by the younger generation on their shoulders but the youths of a state are being indulged in the drug addiction and all we have to be conscious right now.

All possible efforts should be made for the welfare of the youth and endeavour should be to ensure the overall development of the youth, he added.

Dr. Sheetal said that when drug addicts get caught in the drug swamps, they constantly die, as the first death goes to socially different people, then professionally addicted to drugs and the third death is because of which the economic death occurs and one day the addict gets rid of his life.

Expressing deep concern over the use of synthetic drugs and pills as drug addiction in Punjab, Dr. Sheetal said that eradication of this drug is need of the hour and considered seriously.
