Border farmers share their problems with BSF officials at Sadiqi JCP
Ferozepur, June 10, 2017: The farmers of border area shared their problems with the BSF officials in a meeting held at Sadiqi Joint Check Post in Fazika on Friday.
The farmers of border area whose land falls across the barbed wire fencing face lot of problems – enhancing the time for irrigation across the fence during the day, erecting small-height fencing around their fields to stop the Pakistani wild boars that damage the standing crops across the fencing from dusk to dawn when the fields are left unattended, to ehance the range of mobile phones to enable farmers working across the fencing to connect with the main land in case of emergency.
While BSF officials the farmers to spend an extra hour in the evening but turned down the demand of the farmers to sow tall-height crops near the international border.
Border Area Vikas Front President Liladhar Sharma said, the range of the mobile network has been reduced whereas the Pakistan mobile companies range spreads across a couple of kilometers inside the Indian Territory in some areas.
