Doctor booked for posting insulting picture of Dera chief on WhatsApp

Ferozepur, June 2, 2017:  The Ferozepur police have booked one person for sharing a crude, objectional photo on WhatsApp insulting the Dera Sachha Sauda head at Sadar police station.

The police inspector Gurdev Singh informed that as per the statement given by Jaswant Singh son of Ram Dass of village Kamal Wala that Dr.Kamaljit Singh son of Kewal Singh have posted the photo of Dera chief in an objectional manner which has hurt the sentiments of his followers and action may be taken as per the law.

He informed that a case has been registered under Section 295-A of IPC and investigation is still going on.  However, no arrest has been made in this case.

The police advised the public against misusing social media applications without thinming about the consequences. However, the police will not hesitate to take action and eventually charge those who do.

There are however, number of such incidents where Dera chief has been insulted and later on, people have apologized but still showing a gesture of goodwill, the Dera chief had tweeted in one such case – ‘If he has apologized, no complaint from my side”.
