Here’s SSP Meena’s first month achievement in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, February 28, 2021: The police in its campaign of tightening noose against the drug smugglers have achieved success with the recovery of drugs and illicit liquor during the first month’s tenure of Bhagirath Singh Meena, SSP Ferozepur.
In 30 cases registered under NDPS Act, 40 persons have been arrested and similarly, in 13 cases under Excise Act, recovery of drugs and illicit liquor has been made, with the arrested of 13 persons, during one month’s period from Jan 27 to Feb 27.
The recoveries made during this period are – 2.750 kg opium, 551 gm heroin, 43 kg poppy husk, 89,308 habit-forming drugs, Rs.75,000 drug money, 95 ltr 90 ml illicit liquor, 21,230 kg ‘lahan’ and two working ‘bahtihs’.
However, the campaign against the mischievous elements involved in illegal trades would continue as a regular feature with heavy hands, said SSP Meena.
