ACME Society organizes “Slogan Writing Competition” on “Save Daughter, Educate Daughter” at SBS State Technical Campus
Ferozepur, October 22, 2016 : Polytechnic Wing of Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Technical Campus, Ferozepur organised Slogan writing competition on “Beti bachao beti Padhao” (Save Daughter, Educate Daughter).
The event was organised by the ACME Society of Mechanical Engg Department under the guidance of Prof Gobind, to save and empower the girl child.
The entire event was designed to emphasize problems of Female infanticide, to save daughter & educate them. This event aimed to aware the society that girls are born, well nurtured and educated without being discriminated.
Mr. Karandeep Singh of 1st year Mechanical Engineering was adjudged 1st prize for Slogan Writing. Second & third prize was given to Priya Sarkar Computer Engineering 1st year and Abhishek Kumar Electrical Engineering 1st Year respectively. The Prize Distribution ceremony was chaired by Prof Gazal Preet Singh, Principal Poly Wing. He emphasised on the importance of girl in our society. Dr T S Sidhu, congratulated the Polytechnic Wing students for their efforts and said that it will surely bring positive changes in the society against the evil of Female infanticide.
