India still shows a gesture of good will : BSF hands over Pakistani national to Rangers in DT Mal BOP
Ferozepur, October 3, 2016: Still showing a gesture of goodwill regardless of tension like situation between India and Pakistan, due to Surgical Strike in J&K at PoK area after Uri attack by the neighbor country, the Border Security Force handed over 12 year old Md Tanveer who crossed over to Indian territory, to Pakistant Rangers on humanitarian grounds.
Giving this information, R.S.Kataria, a spokesperson of BSF said, on October 2, 2016 at about 4.15 pm, Border Security Forc troops on Kissan Guard Duty in the area of responsibility of Border Out Post Dona Telu Mal (DT Mal), Ex-137. Bn BSF apprehended one Pakistani national namely Md Tanveer (age approx. 12 years) son of Sapera, resident of Pak Village Dhari, District Kasur, Pakistan, while he inadvertently crossed international Boundary and entered inside Indian Territory. The individual was grazing his cattles in Pak area near the IB and came inside Indian Territory to drink water from a tubne well on Indian side as he was very thirsty.
He further said, Pakistan Rangers were contacted today and the apprehended Pakistani National was handed over to them at 10.50 am being inadvertent border crossers on humanitarian grounds.
