Delhi Public School celebrates ‘Teacher’s Day ’
Ferozepur September 6, 2016: Delhi Public School celebrated Teachers Day on 5th September, 2016. The entire day was planned to honor the teachers, first, with a special assembly and later with a get- together for teachers of the school. Teachers for a change, dressed up in casuals and were seen in a very lively mood.
Grade IX and Grade I students, organized the assembly collaboratively headed by Mrs.Beenu Dhawan and Mrs.Minakshi Vohra. The event began with lighting a lamp in front of Dr.Radhakrishnan Ji’s picture followed by poems and thoughts on the role of teachers in students life by the juniors whereas Dohe, Group Song, Dance performance, Teacher titles and fun games were codified by the seniors to make it more enthralling.
It was a tribute to the hard work and devotion of the teachers all year long. Students thanked the Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Rakesh Sachdeva for being the guiding light to follow their dreams and teachers for supporting and inspiring them to do their best.
In the later part of the day Teachers were given a break from their set routine by having a half day for students and teachers got together for some cheerful time, which was concluded by a lunch. One of the very skilled teachers, ‘Ms. Surbhi Narula’ composed poems for each of her colleagues and presented it to them on this special occasion.
In their address, Pro Vice Chairperson Dr. (Mrs.) Rajinder Sooch and Dr. (Mrs.) Rakesh Sachdeva congratulated the teachers and motivated them to do self evaluation in order to understand their teaching graph for the best results.
