Future of BSc (CSM) students of Punjabi University in dark
Ferozepur, July, 4 2015 : The future of 6th semester of Punjabi University of BSc (Computer Science) students looks to be in dark with the failure of 140 out of 160 students in paper number 3, with no provision of compartment. The reason is stated to be paper set out of the prescribed syllabus.
One of the relative of the students – Mr.Rakesh Kumar – informed that the failed students however got 70 to 80 per cent marks in the last 5 semesters.
As per the sources, Baba Farid College, Deon (Bhatinda) has also moved to take suitable action in this regard and comments of paper setter were also obtained, who is reported to admitted, certain questions were out of the syllabus. Despite this the University has not bothered to secure the future of the students.
It is pertinent to mention that in the semester system there is no provision of supplementary for getting a chance rather the students have to attend the college for full one year.
There is a great resentment among the parents of the students. They appealed to the University authorities to give a second thought to this issue as 87 per cent students are failed in the last semester by giving the grace marks of the question out of syllabus or allowing reappear.
