Cheers on faces of Ferozepurians Ferozepur-Chandigarh Intercity train flagged off from Ferozepur
Ferozepur, February 9 : The Ferozepur-Chandigarh Intercity train on was flagged on trial run from Ferozepur in the presence of Sher Singh Ghubaya, MP, Parminder Singh Pinki, MLA, Naresh Chander Goyal, Divisional Rail Manager today. While Suresh Prabhu, Union Railway Minister inaugurated the train through remote control system from Delhi.
On this occasion, Naresh Chander Goyal DRM informed that this train has 12 bogies and it has been flagged from Platform No.2. He said, the train will start at 7 AM on daily basis and reach at Chandigarh by 11.40 AM with stoppages at Talwandi, Moga, Jagraon, Ludhiana, Samrala and Mohali. On return, it will start at 4.30 PM and reach at Ferozepur at 9.40 PM.
It will start regularly from February 11 daily at 7 AM from Ferozepur Cantt railway station.
Inder Singh Gogia, President NGOs Coordination Committee said, the starting of this train has brought cheers on the faces of citizens of Ferozepur and this would prove as a big relief for the people of this region and expected to boom the trade.
The prominent among others present on this occasion were Jugraj Singh Katora, District BJP President, Davinder Bajaj, Mandal Pardhan BJP Ferozepur, Amrinder Singh Sheena and representatives of various NGOs.
