8 BSF jawans including one female, detected as Corona +ve
Ferozepur, July 9, 2020: Today, eight BSF jawans including one bsf female, have been reported to be Corona +ve of one check post Jallo Ke near Indo-Pak border.
As per the information, one jawan is infected due to direct contact while the others are in contact with positive case. Earlier also one BSF official has been reported as Corona positive, making the total to nine.
With detection of new 8 Corona positive cases, the total has reached to 51 in Ferozepur district. So far, the active cases are 7 Mallanwala, 6 Guruharsahai, 5 Mamdot, 1 Makhu, 21 Talwandi and 12 at Zira. Due to increased number of cases, the Talwandi and Zira towns have been put under strict vigil restricting the movement by declaring as micro-containment zones.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner and Health Department has made an appeal to the people to follow the guidelines on corona by staying at home, using masks, washing hands frequently and stop going out of the home unnecessarily.
