7th Pay Commission recommendation on pay hike – a mocking rather than encouraging: URMU
Ferozepur, January 20, 2016 : Today, Uttar Railway Mazdoor Union(MRMU) on the call of National Federation of Indian Railwaymen (NFIR) and decision of the NGSA, registered their protest at the railway station for the review ofn7th Pay Commission recommendations.
Addressing the protesters in thousands, Parveen Kumar said, the logics given by the 7th Pay Commission in its report, for fixing the minimum wages, are baseless rather it is a mockery with the central government employees than encouraging as no importance has been given to the actual commodity price.
Talking about giving importance to the promotional avenues to technical and supervisory staff, he said, the chances of promotion for such staff are bleak who perform their duties at the risk of their life.
Repeating the demand of reviving the old pension scheme by scrapping the new pension scheme, he said, in case the demands raised by the Joint Federation are not accepted, the entire fleet of railway employees is ready to put a jam on the rail tracks.
Present among others on this occasion were, Rajesh Kumar,l Circle President, Vivek Kumar, Vice President, Sri Ram Meena, Branch President, Rajesh Kumar,Balbir Singh, Pardeep Kumar, Gulshan Kumar along with hundres of employees who pledged to fight till the acceptance of demands.
