7 deaths, 173 COVID-19 positive surfaced in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, May 16, 2021: Seven deaths and 173 new Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in Ferozepur on Sunday, taking the total tally of positive cases in Ferozepur, as on date to 10,349 positive cases and 306 deaths including 87 during the month of May, since the outbreak of virus in the district.
As per record 1,44,215 samples were taken, out of which 1,37,129 were reported negative, 10,349 positive, 8,363 recovered and still 1,690 cases were active while the result of 8300 samples are still awaited.
Among seven deaths on Sunday, six are male and one female of the age group of 33 to 75 years – in Ferozepur urban, Mamdot, Kassoana and Ferozshah Blocks, said District Epidemiologist, Ferozepur
In the vaccination drive, 2,255 of 18-44 years, and first and second dose to 45 age to 89,822 persons in the district have been vaccinated.
