6 deaths, 103 COVID-19 +ve cases surfaced in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, May 4, 2021:  On Tuesday, 6 deaths and 103 new Covid positive cases have been reported in Ferozepur taking the total tally of deaths to 235 and active cases, as of date to 1,188.

Since the outbreak of the virus in this district, 1,35,611 samples were taken, out of which 1,26,541were tested negative, 8,120 positive while 7,6-8 recovered.  However, the results of 950 samples are still awaited.

Among the 6 deaths of 2 females and 4 males, today are between 43 years to 75 years in Zira, Ferozepur Urba, Gurharsahai, Mamdot blocks.

The first and second dose of Covishield has been given to 585 persons on Tuesday taking the total to 75,215 of 45 plus age group including frontline and health workers.
