4 killed, 5 injured in road accident in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, November 7, 2017: As a major relief to government and private schools across the district, the Deputy Commissioner, Ferozepur today announced a change in school timings for all schools within the district limits.

According to the new instructions, the schools shall open at 10 am with effect from tomorrow while the school leaving time will be as per the schedule.

The foggy spell, which has been causing near zero visibility when chilly winter is yet to start, resulted in a major accident in Ferozepur killing four and injuring five persons due to dense fog, the district administration has taken a decision to change the school timings.

It may be added that the fog has tumbled down making it difficult to drive on the roads in the morning.  It was observed that the traffic on the roads has reduced due to poor visibility due to fog.

Expressing concern over the road accident, CM Punjab has announced ex-gratia to the kin of accident victims.
