Ferozepur, November 24, 2015 :  A team of three members of Paddlers Group Mumbai, who had all the way come from Mumbai to Ferozepur via Amritsar and paddling towards Bikaner, was given a warm welcome by the members of Paddlers Club when they saw them on their routine padding today on Mall Road.

The three members were – Mohit Sabnis, Ritish Panditrao and Vijay Beladkar.  While Mohit is a commercial artist but he has already paddled during his college time from Bombay to Delhi and the present trip is after 25 years.  He already figured in Limca Book of Record 2015 for paddling 6350 KMs in 116 hours and 2072 KMw in 2013.

Ritish Panditrao, 39 yrs, is a management trainee and has served in Navy for 15 years and Vijay Beladkar works in the private commercial organizations dealing with jeweler.

While the Paddlers Club members were having roadside tea, Sohan Singh noticed three paddlers on their bicycles loaded with kits have crossed us.  Taking a fraction of second, Sohan Singh moved towards them on bicycle and requested them to join us at the tea-point to have interaction with our members.

The Mumbai Paddlers Group was introduced with the present members – Rakesh Pathak, Ashwani Sharma, Vipan Sharma, Harish Monga Convener, Sohan Sodhi and Satish Machhral.

The paddlers from Mumbai were introduced with the members of Paddlers Club and the paddling achievements of Sohan Singh of visiting Muktsar and Bhatinda on bicycles besides our daily routine of paddling 15 kms on week days and about 30 kms on Sundays.

Sharing their event of paddling, they said, they have all they come from Mumbai to Amritsar on train and from Amritsar after visiting Wagah Border, Khemkaran, Rattoke, Golden Temple moving towards Bikaner covering distance of 700 KMs and from there they will move back to Mumbai on train.

On Monday, they also witnessed Hussainiwala Retreat Ceremony and claimed to have better presentation than Wagah Border.

During interaction, they said, the people of Punjab are helpful while paddling on roads.

They said, it was a good experience of paddling which keeps you fit and it was a challenge expedition for us at a distant place.  We are paddling to different states for the last five years.

Rao one of the paddler shared that padding boost your fitness, health and environment.  There are number of benefits of taking of two wheels paddling like commuting faster in major cities like Mumbai, reduce the signs of ageing, boost your bowls, increase your brain power, live longer, save the space on the planet as 20 bicylces can be parked in a space of one car, keeps you away from big C- Cancer, loss of over-weight, avoid pollution, burn more fats above all, make new circle of friends and spend quality time with others.

Lastly what he shared was astonishing about the concept of Manoj Bhargawa – Energy Creator – to roll out pedal-powered energy solution in India.
