Bharat Vikash Parishad honours Prof Kul Bhushan Agnihotri for his outstanding contribution in field of education and research
Ferozepur, September 7,2022: On teacher day on 5th Sept 2022, Prof Kul Bhushan Agnihotri of SBS State University, Ferozepur was honoured for his outstanding contribution in the field of Education and Research by Bharat Vikas Parishad Ferozepur. Dr Kulbhushan Agnihotri had his Ph.D in Mathematics from IIT Roorkee.
His area of research is Eco-epidemiology. He has teaching experience of 30 years at reputed academic institutions including SBS State University Ferozepur, Punjab Engineering College Chandigarh and IIT Roorkee. He has published more than 100 research papers in reputed international and national journals, mostly indexed with SCI and equivalent with impact factor ranging from 3 to 10. He has guided numerous PhDs and many more are pursuing progressive research under his supervision. He has also presented dozens of research spapers in national and international conferences and seminars. He has delivered large number of expert talks in various national and international conferences as well at electronic media channels. He was already been conferred many awards like Best Teacher Award, Research Excellence Award, Academic Excellence Award by INSC Banglore in 2020. He is also receipient of Young Scientist Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Research by Balbir Singh Centre for Sciences, Jalandhar. Many of his research papers were awarded with Best Paper Award in many international conferences. He is the member of Board of Studies of many institutions like Mahatma Gandhi Kashi University, Banaras, IKG PTU, Jalandhar, MRS PTU Bathinda etc. He is also member of editorial boards and reviewer of many reputed journals of Science Direct, Inderscience, Springer, and Wiley etc. He is also member of many societies like Bio-Mathematical Society of India, Kolkota, India, Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE), International Academy of Physical Sciences (IAPS), India, Punjab Science Congress etc.
Apart from his academic ventures, Prof. Agnihotri is a multi-faceted personality who is always inclined towards quality teaching based on moral values and ethics. He is also the NCC officer of SBS State University Ferozepur and bestowed with the rank of Major 13 Punjab Battalion. In addition to teaching, he has headed varied administrative positions in the university and made major contribution to the growth of SBS State University Ferozepur. Students heartily acknowledge him as a teacher who makes Mathematics easy to learn which is an exceptional skill in the academia.
Prof. Agnihotri visualizes very critical role of Mathematics in the emerging fields of computing, data sciences, Artificial Intelligence etc. and has ambitious plans to stimulate Mathematical research in these areas. His vision is that India being a treasure of Mathematical wisdom from ancient times, must unleash its potential to act as a global leader of Mathematical research in all the disciplines.
