BSF launches Plantation Drive in Ferozepur from villages Basti Ram Lal, Pachhariyan
Ferozepur, August 9, 2022: The BSF, in addition to keeping the security checks along the international border touching Pakistan, the first defence online personnel have also initiated ‘Plantation Drive’ in border villages in Ferozepur. The Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFS) undertaken a massive Plantation Drive during the year 2022 with the target to plant 80,00,000 saplings during the monsoon season on the land available with them as well as in their surrounding areas with the motto “Each One – Plant at least one”.
In this sequence, on 09th Aug 2022, a plantation drive was organised at the Border villages Basti Ram Lal & Pachhariyan as a part of “AZAADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV” to motivate people to plant more and more trees to combat the hazardous effects posed by climatic changes, Brig Surendra Mehta VSM(Retd) DIG SHQ BSF Ferozepur & Sh Omprakash Singh Comdt along with Officers, Bsf troops and villagers of bordering villages Basti Ram Lal & Panchariya planted trees. DIG BSF SHQ Ferozepur also encouraged BSF personnel to save the environment by way of planting trees and adopting eco friendly methods.
The Border Security Force remains at the forefront of environment protection by way of planting trees at all BSF locations in the country every year. BSF concern and objectives regarding the environment remain the same. BSF has always worked for social causes including environment protection/ conservation and will continue to do so in future.
