12 booked under NDPS Act for of heroin, poppy husk and drugs
Ferozepur, December 26, 2017: As many as, 8 persons have been arrested at different places in the district and booked under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act – NDPS Act for recovery the of heroin.
As per the crime report released by the police, the arrested have been identified as Surjit Singh alias Jeeta of Kamal Bodla for 5gm heroin, Kulbir Singh of Chak Ghubai at Tran Wali for 20 gm, Raj Kumar of Kussu Wala Mour in Makhu block, Kuldip Singh of Jama Rakhia of Mamdot for 5 gm, Gurpreet Singh alias Gopy of Suddan in Makhu for 5 gm, Gurdev Singh alias Goni of Lohke Kalan in Zira for 5 gm, Kulwant Singh alias Bant of Lohke Kalan for 2 gm, Jasbir Singh alias Bagga of Kachhar Bha of Zira for 2 gm heroin and Gurmit Singh of Behak Gujra of Sadar Zira for recovery of 1.5 kg poppy husk besides Nirmal Kaur of Jaildar Colony Kot Ise Khan Road Zira with 420 drugs tablets, Luvjit Singh of Basti Machian Zira with 310 drugs tablets and Angrej Singh of Kachhar Bhag in Sadar Zira with recovery of 500 gm poppy husk.
The police sources said, all have been booked under NDPS Act Sections 15/61/85 and further proceedings have been initiated in all the cases to crack the suppliers’ nexus.
