11th Mohan Lal Bhaskar Art & Theatre Festival enthralled audience

Ferozepur, December 1, 2015 :Various prominent Urdu Poets from different far flung areas of nation enthralled the audience at the sixth and final event of the Eleventh Mohan Lal Bhaskar Art and Theatre Festival held at local Manav Mandir Senior Secondary School on Monday late night.
While the programme commenced by lighting the lamps and showering flowers at the picture of Mohan Lal Bhaskar by Prabha Bhaskar, patron-in-chief of the foundation, Arpit Shukla, Inspector General of Police, Jalandhar Zone, R.K.Thapa, DIG BSF Ferozepur, Kamal Kishore Yadav, Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar, DPS Kharbanda, D.C Ferozepur, Brigadier H S Jaggi, Deputy Commandant (BSF) Ranjit Singh, Lt.Col Y S Rathore, Major Satinder Singh, Lt.General (Rtd) Nandraj Yog,Manminder Singh, SSP Anti Narcotics Cell, Amritsar, Gursewak Singh Kaish Man, SAD(B) leader, Dr.Kamal Baghi, Ashwani Grover, President Municipal Committee, Ferozepur City, Chamkaur Singh Dhindsa, President District Congress Committee and Ravi Awasthi, Commandant (Rtd)Home Guard.
In the meantime, Environmentalist Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal was conferred “MLB Lifetime Achievement Award”, Famous Satirist Jaspal Singh Bhatti was awarded MLB Lifetime Achievement Award (Posthumous) and handed over to his wife Savita Bhatti, Vikram Ahuja of Zamindara farmsolutions, Fazilka, was coonferred ‘Young Achiever Award' for working for the cause of environment, Ravi Kant Gupta was awarded as ‘Visionary Entrepreneur’ and local Mohinder Singh was rewarded for helping out social organization generously while the family of Nandraj Yog was honoured for promoting family values.
A galaxy of Urdu poets including Janab Johar Kanpuri, Kanpur, Janab Haseeb Soj from Badhayu, janab Samar Kaleem, Aligarh, Janab Mukesh Alam and Janab Ritaz Maini from Ludhiana, Janab Nafas Ambalvi, Ambala, Janab Nadeem Farooq, Meerut, Janab Musawar Ferozepuri, Chandigarh and Mohtarma Renu Nayyar, Jalandhar.
The couplets of various poets which received special round of applause include:

The satirical couplets of Comedy Poet Samar Kaleem showered laughter moments for the audience while Nadeem Farooq from Meerut coordinated the stage with his magical couplets.
Johar Kanpuri from Kanpur received standing ovation from the audience for his magical couplets.
It is worth to mention that the event was organised in the memory of former Indian Spy in Pakistan, Mohan Lal Bhaskar who while working an agent with Indian Security agencies intruded sixteen times to Pakistan but held on seventieth visit due to breach by a double cross agent. He was awarded death sentence by a Pakistani court but higher court reduced it to fourteen years of imprisonment and he was repatriated under Shimla agreement on December 9 1974.
Later on he narrated his experiences in the various jails of Pakistan in an autobiography under the title Under The Shadow of Bayonets and Bars which was awarded Saansad Sri Kant Verma National Award in 1989 by then Vice President of India.
This book had been also published in various ten languages of India.
