1 death, 116 Covid-19 positive cases surfaced in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, April 9, 2021: The daily increase of Covid-19 positive cases has become a cause of concern for the administration and 116 new Covid-19 positive cases on Friday in Ferozepur district, the total tally of active cases has gone to 422 with one death of 60 years old female.
The cooperation of people is a must in view of a surge in corona positive cases in the district by following the medical protocols. During April till date, 373 positive cases have been reported in the district.
As per the information, 1,02,740 samples had been taken since the spread of coronavirus in this area. Out of this 1,10747 were found negative, 5,656 positive and 5,065 recovered leaving the active cases as of now to 422. However, the test for 288 samples are still awaited. During this period, the total number of deaths had been 173 due to Covid-19 including one of today of 60 years old female of Ferozepur Urban.
At the same time, vaccine drive has also been intensified and so far 36,688 have been vaccinated of all categories of 60 plus, 45 to 59 and frontline workers in government and only 21 in private hospitals.
