Sanjha Morcha decides to continue with protest till all demands are accepted

Ferozepur, January 19, 2022: Sanjha Morcha in its meeting held today at the protest site at Mansurwal Kalan announced to continue with the protest till all demands are accepted.
Sanja Morcha committee thanked all the farmer outfits, environmental lovers and religious institutions to support them in the protest, since July 24 of last year, against the Malbros International Private Limited – ethanol plant at Mansurwal Kalan (Zira).
Sanjha Morcha asked to make public through a notification, the reasons for closing the Malbros Liquor Factory at Mansurwal Kalan and closing down of all its three units.
Addressing the media persons, Sanjha Morcha members said, the Committee has unanimously decided to continue with the protest till our demands are accepted. The demands put forth were – Cancellation all FIRs against the protesters, compensate suitably to the protesters who died due to pollution, return of ‘fards’ presented in the High Court, for a joint committee of the people of area and environmental lovers to identify the persons affected due to pollution for free treatment from anywhere, make arrangements for canal water as the crops have damaged due to polluted water in the area, legal action against the owner of the factory for spreading pollution, compensation to workers of Rs.5 lac who had been working more than six months and Rs.3 lac joined recently, registration of cases against the management of the factory for polluting the water and air besides FIR for illegal mining and poisoning the water and soil, a big hospital may be opened on the land of the factory and sealing of all accounts of the factory.
On asking for a lifting of protest, they made it clear that the dharna will continue till our demands are accepted.
Sanjha Morcha member Paramjit Kaur, a negativity is being spread among the people that workers have been made jobless. We have put a special demand on them for their compensation.
