Yeh Diwali Helmet Wali : Mayank Foundation takes initiative to gift Helmets on Diwali
Ferozepur, October 21, 2019: Mayank Foundation – dedicated for the social cause with special focus on road safety measures, has decided to give Helmets on the eve of Diwali with a slogan – Yeh Diwali-Helmet Wali.
Deepak Sharma, founder of Mayank Foundation in memory of his son said, “Each one should share happiness by gifting one or the other things as gift to his Kith and Kins but this time has taken an initiative to suggest Helmets in place of regular gifts to the loved ones.
He further said, the foundation proposed that each one should do so irrespective of the recipient so that traffic rules can be followed by all and sundry at all levels in order to save lives of those who are at a risk of life without helmets.
Saurav Narang and Manoj Gupta executive members of the Foundation explained that not only self awareness is necessary but awaking others should be a priority so that masses wear seat belts as well as helmets to save lives, which one get once.
They further added that this Diwali should be a ‘Green Diwali’ without use of fire crackers which not only cause environment hazards but also cause innumerable deaths and injuries. Rather at least one member of each family should plant a sapling, they added.
Batra family was gifted the first helmet by Mayank Foundation to kick start the campaign.
Deeepak Grover informed that this campaign is a part of larger aim of bringing traffic awareness among the public.
