VWS gets decoration from ISA Dubai for initiating new pattern for schooling
Ferozepur, December 24, 2018: It’s said: “Your limitation is only in your imagination.” Achieving international recognition in a mere nine months of its establishment, Vivekananda World School has proven this. Today, when ISA i.e. International School Awards honoured various schools from 20 nations across the world, Vivekananda World School was among them adding a feather in its hat. Initiating a new pattern for schooling was not an easy task, but Vivekananda World School has proven that once you are determined to get the best, there’s no room for compromise. This international award being bestowed upon the school is an example of the services being the best.
ISA, Dubai operates on the agenda to create intellectual Einstein’s, promote equity, not equality, encourage innovations impacting education and modernize the future of classrooms. In the award conference from 21-24, December 2018 at The Great Ballroom, Le Meridian Airport Road, Dubai, 700 attendees gathered to celebrate the achievements of the schools, presided over by 15 global speakers and 10 Government Ministries.
Out of 11,000 nominations, only 148 schools were selected for the award. Renowned speakers from across the globe like Mr. Ketan Bhagat (Author and Storyteller, India), Mr. Rohan Roberts (Innovation Leader, Gems Education, Dubai), Dr. Attaullah Wahidyar (Senior Advisor, Ministry of Education, Afghanistan), Ms. Vinny Garg (CEO, Nazakat Inc., Virginia, USA) and Ms. Shafia Rafique (Principal, Little Fellow School System and Daycare, Pakistan) to name a few highlighted the abovesaid aspects related to education system giving and shared their experienced stories, besides doing a marathon discussion on “Transformation in Education-Vision 2030”
The awards were handed over by Dr. Attaullah Wahidyar. Receiving the award on school’s behalf, Mr. Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar, the Chairman of the School, congratulated the entire staff and students of the school and added that such appreciation is the result of teamwork and that it encourages them to work harder in the years to come.
Dr. S. N. Rudra, Director of Vivekananda World School, congratulated the entire staff, students and parents on this occasion. He highlighted that the motive for establishing the school was to modernise and patronise the education system in the remote, border town of Ferozepur. He emphasised that the inculcation of various academic, co-curricular and sports activities has been the priority of the school. The school aims at providing a world-class education to the students to prepare them for global challenges, but at the same time works on enriching the moral and traditional standards. He said that the award is an epitome of teamwork.
