Vivekananda World School celebrates Diwali Mela – Dedicated to Elders
Ferozepur, November 5, 2018: Diwali Mela was inaugurated by Mrs. Prabha Bhaskar, patron-in-chief of Vivekananda World School while accompanied by Dr.S. N. Rudra, Director Vivekananda World School, Sh. Jhalkeshwar Bhaskar, Chairman Manav Mandir Senior Secondary School and other prominent persons of the vicinity.
Senior citizens including Dr. G. S. Dhillon, S. Mohan Singh, S. Jagtar Singh (95) spellbound the audience with their dance performance to the tunes of ‘Rangla Punjab’.
In this Diwali Mela on Sunday, various events like ‘Healthy Baby Show’,’ ‘Rides’, ‘Special Games’, ‘Camel safari’, ‘Horse Rides’ remained centre of attraction while The Live Band from Chandigarh mesmerized the music lovers with their spectacular performance.
Everyone enjoyed the show thoroughly and expressed their joy and gratitude with a thundering applause.
In the closing ceremony Mr. Parminder Singh Pinky ( MLA, Ferozepur ) and Mr. Chamkaur Singh Dhindsa ( District President, Congress ) honored various personalities from social organizations working for the welfare of society namely Mr. Buta Singh and Mr. Jagtar Singh (Farmer Helper Society) , Mr. Rinku Grover(Block President,Congress ) , Mr. Sanjay Grover (Block President, Congress), Mr. Rajinder Chhabra (Vice Chairman , Punjab Vyaapar Cell ), Mr. Satinder Singh (President , Singh Sabha Gurudwara ), Mr. Dharampal Bansal ( Chairman, Life Group) , Mr. Kamal Kalia (President, Bhraman sabha ) , Mr. Sarabjeet Sharma (Dharam Jagran Rakht Daan Sanstha ), Mr. Parveen Malhotra ( President, Ferozepur Kalyan Sanstha ) , Mr. Santokh Singh ( SDO , Electricity Board ) , Mr. Amarjit Bhogal (President, Peddalers group ) , Mr. Davinder Bajaj ( District President, BJP ) , Mr. DP Chandan ( BJP Leader ) Mr. Mehar Singh Mall ( Advocate ), Mr. satinder Singh ( National Awardee & President ( Agreed Foundation ) , Mr. Kuldeep Bhullar ( President, Lok Chetna March ) and honored them for their service to society and people.
