Uzbekistan national woman in ‘burqa’ apprehended while trying to enter Pakistan illegally, taken to Delhi for investigation
Ferozepur, June 15, 2023: Uzbekistan national woman in ‘burqa’ identified as Tangiyarova Ozoda (47) alias Sevinch, has been apprehended while roaming and trying to enter Pakistan illegally and under suspicious circumstances, on June 14 and because of language problem, she is being taken to Delhi for further investigation and more indications of threat to national security are likely to come on surface. An Indian Aadhar Card and Pakistani Identity Card found from her possession has created a suspicion. She has however, been taken to Delhi for further investigation, because of language problem in understanding.
On June 14, a tip-off during the patrolling by the police team headed by Vinod Kumar, a foreign woman wearing a ‘burqa’ in suspicious condition trying to enter Pakistan illegally from Indo-Pak border in Ferozepur near Hussainiwala International Border of Punjab from village Gatti Rajo Ke, was arrested by BSF personnel, who was detained by the village. She was later on handed over to Ferozepur police for further investigation.
SSP Ferozepur, Bhupinder said, during the preliminary investigation and search by the female BSF, the arrested woman was identified as Uzbekistan national, from the passport, an Aadhaar card of Zirakpur and some other items which were recovered from her possession. Because of language problems, the security agencies are finding it difficult to understand the response from the arrested foreign national.
However, finding of Aadhar Card, her Pakistani national identity card in her phone and her trying to cross over to Pakistan has raised many questions to locate for answers. However, the police and BSF are working on ascertaining the backward and forward history to come to some conclusion of her intentions. But the foreign woman having links with some agency cannot be ruled out.Sources said, the Uzbekistan national woman is being taken to Delhi for further investigation because of language problem and more clues of threat to national security are likely to come on surface.
