Under dedicated drive, Ferozepur police nabbed 7 persons with heroin and habit-forming drugs
Ferozepur, September 21, 2022: Under its dedicated drive against the unscrupulous and anti-social elements and on the basis of various inputs from police informers, the Ferozepur police have arrested seven persons from different locations in the districts with recovery of 255 gm heroin and one motorcycle without number besides 620 habit-forming drugs.
Divulging with details, SSP Surinder Lamba said, the accused have been identified along with recovery of heroin during the search operations at various points in the district. He said, they are – Nikhil and Harish Kumar of Ferozepur Cantt with 30 gm and 20 gm heroin, Nishan Singh of Mallanwala with 50 gm, Sukhbir Singh of Sadar Ferozepur and Tejinder Singh of Ghall Khurd with 70 gm each, Gurmej Singh of Guruharsahai with 15 gm and Bikramjit Singh of Zira with 620 habit forming drugs and all have been booked under NDPS Act. However, further investigations are on with the concerned IOs with special focus on backward and forward history.
He said, the dedicated drive against the anti-social elements will be a continued process to make the Ferozepur a drug-free district.
