Tiranga Rally proved flop-show in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, August 20, 2016  : On Friday, a Tiranga Rally was organized by Sukhpal Singh Nannu, former CPS and recently appointed President, Punjab BJP Kissan Cell where Dr.Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister Science and Technology was the key-note speaker.

During his hour-long address, the achievements of Modi Government were only counted during two years’ tenure, touching few moments for the Tiranga Rally to remember the sacrifices of martyrs who brought freedom to India.

Barring few tri-colour national flags, BJP flags were seen in the pandal looking not a Tiranga Rally but a BJP Rally.  Even then the chairs in the pandal, in one section were seen empty which speaks itself of a flop-show.

Earlier when asked Dr.Harsh Vardhan about giving official status of martyr to Shaheed Bhagat Singh and as to who these rallies are meaningful and significant, he said, “I don’t know as to whom you call ‘martyr’.  Are those martyrs, who are garlanded?”

Added here that the local BJP leaders are not seen or perhaps not invited in each other’s programmes and the factionalism among local BJP leaders was seen when Kamal Sharma former BJP President and National Executive Committee Member was seen off the dais after paying tributes at the Martyrs Memorials at Hussainiwala. Yesterday also, on the visit of Dy.CM to Ferozepur, Kamal Sharma after the laying the foundation stone of Rs.76 crore project of ROB on National Highway was seen off from the dais.

Such trend is likely to pass on a negative message among the local citizens especially when the Assembly elections are due in a couple of months.
