Ticket Checking Staff hands over unknown child trying to jump from moving YR Express to RPF
Ferozepur, June 11, 2024: The railway checking staff has done a commendable job by fulfilling its social responsibility, by handing over an unknown child travelling in Yoganagari Rishikesh Express to RPF for further investigation and reuniting him with his parents.
Divulging with details, Sr.DCM Paramdeep Singh Saini said, that train number-14605 (Yoganagari Rishikesh Express) which runs from Yoganagari Rishikesh to Jammu Tawi, on 10-June-2024, Nand Kishore CIT and Anil Kaushal CIT, headquartered at Jammu Tawi, during checking of the train, after the train left Haridwar station, saved a lone child of about 12 years from jumping from the moving train in AC coach B-1.
On further questioning, the child explained that he had been separated from his parents and in frustration, he tried to jump from the train in far. He, however, disclosed his identity and his parents were contacted on the phone and handed over the child to the RPF staff to further hand over to the parents at Saharanpur station.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Paramdeep Singh Saini praised both the ticket-checking staff for the wonderful work they did to save the child and announced to give a certificate to both CITs so that other ticket-checking staff also get inspired and do commendable work.
