Three more mobiles seized in jail on second consecutive day
Ferozepur, August 30, 2021: Three more mobiles and one ordinary charger were recovered from inside the jail during the surprise raids from the inmates, on the basis of inputs.
While two mobiles were recovered from the inmates prisoners under trial Jacob and Tarsem Singh and one from the bags lying outside the barrack. Both the inmates and one unidentified person have been booked under Prisons Act and the investigations are on with Roshan Lal, IO.
Earlier on August 26, 12 mobiles, on August 27 three mobiles and on August 29, three mobiles were recovered. During 2020, 112 mobiles were recovered while 158 mobiles have been found during various surprise checking in 2021 including today’s seizure.
No doubt the vigilant staff on certain inputs is recovering the mobile yet no arrest has been made so far and there is to tighten the security at all the entry points.
