Three booked for posting distorted video of Dera Head on social media
Ferozepur, June 19, 2017: The Guruharsahai police booked a case against three persons under Information Technology Act 2000 and Sections 153-A, 34 of IPC, on the complaint of 15-Member Committee of Block Chak Jamalgarh Dera Sacha Sauda, for allegedly posting a distorted video of Dera Sacha Sauda – religious sect – Head on social media.
It is pertinent to mention that this is the third such incident in the past in the district for posting derogatory remarks and audio clips.
In the complaint, there is a mention of Baldev Ram son of Kulwant Ram, Sarwan Singh son of Kukkar Singh belonging to Rajpur, Gurmit Singh son of Raj Singh of Rai Saik resident of Sohangarh Ratte Wala falling under Guruharsahai Police Station.
It is alleged in the complaint that all these have posted objectionable video against Gurmit Ram Rahik Singh Ji Insan – Dera Head, which has hurt the sentiments of ‘saadh sangat’ – followers of sect.
Bhupinder Singh, Inquiry Officer, looking into the matter informed that the investigation into the case is still on but no arrest has so far been made.
