Students celebrate National Tourism Day at DSCW
Feroepur, January 25, 2020: National Tourism Day was celebrated at Dev Samaj College for Women at Ferozepur – an educational institution known for its services in the field of education in the border town.
DSCW is registering its contribution in various social and cultural activities, the credit for this goes to Shriman Nirmal Singh Dhillon and Secretary College Dr.Madhu Prashar and today’s event is a part of its continued activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Kushal Singh, Head of Tourism and Hospitality Department of the College said, National Tourism Day was celebrated today in the college under the tutelage of Smt.Navdeep Kaur, Officiating Principal.
Navdeep Kaur said, the Tourism sector is playing a pivotal role in preserving our culture as it put wiser the tourists from all walks of life besides contributing to upgrading the GDP. So the tourism sector has a bright future with job avenues.
On this occasion, various posters depicting the tourism scope were also sketched, with a special focus of rural, agriculture, cultural, religious and sports tourism, which were appreciated by one and all.
Madam Sapna Budhwar, Dr.Bhumida Sharma had a contribution in making this event a grand success.
