STF nabs one with 16,800 Narcotic pills
Ferozepur, May 27, 2023: The alleged accused supplying habit-forming drugs has been arrested along with 16,800 narcotic pills and one motorcycle by Special Task Force (STF) Ferozepur Range.
Divulging with details, Gurpreet Singh, AIZ, STF, ASI under the able guidance of Rajbir Singh, DSP, STF Range along with Balkar Singh, under the guidelines of Ferozepur Range, arrested Navdeep Kumar son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Guru Karam Basti Ward No. 4, Guruharshai, with recovery of 16,800 narcotic pills and a motorcycle being used for doing this illegal act.
The said accused has been registered in Case No. 151 dated 26-05-2023 No. 22 NDPS Act Police Station STF, SAS Nagar.
He further said, the in-depth investigation of the case, with backward history and forward planning, is on. Meanwhile, the arrested accused will be produced before the court and will be interrogated by obtaining police remand. More clues are likely to come on surface about the source of puchase and supplies to crack the nexus of those involved in this drug mafia – a hierarchically structured secret organization allegedly engaged in smuggling, racketeering, trafficking in narcotics, and other criminal activities in Ferozepur district and elsewhere.
