Ferozepur April 7, 2019: Deputy Commissioner Chander Gaind today said that medical camps organized by the non-government organizations like Shri Ram Sharman Ashram was real service of underprivileged and deprived sections of society.
Inaugurating 33rdmedical checkup camp for special abled children on Sunday, organized by Shri Ram Sharnam Ashram at Mata Shitla Mandir, the deputy commissioner said that such camp enables weaker section of the society to uplift their lives by providing them crucial medical aid.
Around 1800 patients attended the medical camp, in which a team of fifty expert doctors examined them and provided on spot treatment. The free of cost medicines were also distributed among the patients. The patients from Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pardesh, Madhya Pardesh, New Delhi, Utter Pardesh, Hariyana and Chandigarh took part in the camp.
Taking round of the medical camp the Deputy Commissioner hailed the efforts made by Shri Ram Sharnam Ashram to facilitate the Specially Abled children and they too can excel in life if given special care love and guidance.
He extended fulsome support of district administration to such efforts and exhort others to come forward to serve needful people. He further underlined the need for such efforts, so that people could be provided with the maximum help.
The students and faculty of DCM group of schools took part in the medical camp as volunteers and helped participants with registration and other important jobs.
Mrs. Rakhi Thakur, Principal of DCM School said that the participation of the school in this camp is a part of our community outreach program, in which the members of our school help the community at the grass route level.
Deputy Commissioner also praised the efforts being made by DCM group in the service to the humanity and congratulated the group CEO Anirudh Gupta for being pivot of such efforts.
The volunteers of the Ashram Pawan Gupta and Dr. Piyush informed that the team of one hundred doctors and volunteers participated in the camp and every year three camps are organized by the Ashram. The third camp would be organized in the month of August, he said adding that the first such camp was organized on 21st October 2001 and so far thousands of people have taken the benefit of such medical camps.
He further added that a large number of patients have been cured from mental illness as the aim of our organization is to enable specially-abled children to be part of the main stream society. Head Of the medical team Dr. Didar Singh said that the treatment of each patient gets video graphed, so that improvement in each case can be measured.
On the occasion Ashoke Jindal, Harish Goyal, Nand Kishore, Mohit Goyal and others prominent members of the society were present.
