Spasht Drishti project reaches another Govt. school, gives specs to 30 students
Ferozepur, February 23, 2023: As an endeavor to bring about awareness on eye-health amongst students, Sparsh Drishti project – was launched and committed exclusively to provide vision to the children in all the government schools in Ferozepur district by its founder Vipul Narang.
In this context, a free eye check-up camp was organized, to screen their vision through refraction, in the classrooms itself, in another government high school in the remote area, Basti Nizamudin.
So far, around 2,000 students have been screened in 15 government schools and specs provided free of cost, to more than 500 students, with eye-sight defects.
Around 30 students screened with low vision out of 175 students from 6th to 10th class, were provided spectacles free of cost. Besides, two 10th class students who excel in their studies were gifted digital watches by Vipul Narang, founder of the Sparsh Drishti project. The students were also given valuable feedback and suggestions for further line of action to take care of their eyes and their parents were also informed about the same.
Sheenam, Headmistress advised the students to concentrate on their studies to be successful in life, by spending less time on watching the television programmes and mobiles at home, besides taking a balanced diet and daily exercise to keep physically and mentally fit.
Ashok Behal, Secretary, Red Cross was also present on this occasion.
