Senior citizens exchange ideas at ‘Monthly Meet’
Ferozepur, January 29, 2023: The first monthly meeting of the New Year, of members of Senior Citizens Forum (SCF) was held at the Red Cross building of Baghban where senior citizens gathered and exchanged their ideas.
Pardeep Dhawan, President, SCF presided over the meeting congratulating all the members on a happy and prosperous year 2023. He said, it is a matter of pleasure that in the New Year 15 new members have been enrolled, retired from different government and private offices and businessmen. Adding he said, it is a good platform for the senior citizens to exchange ideas and discuss even personal problems which can be solved with mutual understanding and discussions.
Expressing concern over the use of Chinese thread, reporting serious incidents of injuries, during the recently passed Basant festival in the city, which is famous all over the world, Parveen Dhawan urged to take up the matter with the district administration, to curb this menace by discouraging the manufacturer, and taking legal action against the rice shellers who under the guise of purchasing stitching thread procuring the Chinese thread during these days. One of the members said, at the same time, to some extent the parents are also responsible who encourage their children by purchasing the Chinese thread.
