Senior Citizen Forum to start Marriage Bureau in Ferozepur
Ferozepur, May 22, 2016: Senior Citizen Forum – a think tank of older timers – who meets on every month – to have interaction with each other on various personal and general issues for the welfare of the society, today come up with a new idea of starting of Marriage Bureau.
Speaking on this occasion, Kulbhushan Gautam President, Senior Citizen Forum (SCF) said, in view of increase in marital dispute cases after the marriage, it was decided to start a Marriage Bureau by the SCF to screen the boys and girls and their families before entering into a marriage bonds by the two families.
The idea was appreciated by one and all and shortly a decision will be taken and plans are chalked out, as to how to proceed in this regard.
Sharing his views, Harish Kumar, member SCF and Women Counseling Cell in Police Department said, in the marital dispute cases being referred to the Cell, the priority order of dispute is ego, misunderstanding, interference of parents of both sides, drug addiction, extra marital relations, property dispute while dowry is at the tail.
In view of increased number of cases, the idea of forming of Marriage Bureau by the SCF is appreciable for becoming a mediator by making first hand screening, to avoid any litigation at a later stage, before tying the nuptial knot.
On this occasion, certain members – M.L.Tiwari, Mangat Ram and others were also honoured – whose marriage anniversary and date of birth falls during the month of May.
