Savera Foundation honours media warriors on Corona frontline

Ferozepur, June 4, 2020:  Like the various stages of the journey of the virus, the list of fighters against the Corona pandemic also expanded.

First came the doctors, para-medical staff and their ilk, followed by policemen, providers of essential supplies with the lockdown, milk, vegetable vendors, grocery, newspaper, water, electricity, telecommunication, railways and banking, chemists, among others as the list is too long.

With the curfew/lockdown, suddenly a large number of NGOs, individuals jumped into the fray to serve the needy people at their door-steps.

Savera Foundation – a leading NGO – has started picking one by one to honour them for their services during the period of crisis, who were extending services by risking their lives.

Earlier, we have honoured the police officials and riksha-pullers and today we have the privilege to honour the media warriors on Corona frontline.

As many as 8 media warriors on Corona frontline – Jaswinder Singh, President Press Club (AJIT), Angrej Singh (Punjabi Jagran), Narayan Dhamija (Sarhad Kesari), Tarun Jain (Dainik Jagran), Kapil Sethi (Dainik Bhaskar), Anand Mehra (Punjab Kesari), Sanjeev Handa (Punjabi Tribune), Vijay Kumar (Dainik Savera) –  were honoured presenting a Savera Souvenir at a simple and impressive ceremony.

Atul Nagal, Chairman appreciated the contribution of media during the curfew and lockdown period, with updates on the Coronavirus, for putting wiser the public with special messages to follow the instructions of the health department to win over the fight against the novel virus.

Bharat Kumar Rana in his melodious voice shared the symbolic patriotic song – Hum Honge Kamyab….
