Ferozepur, June 28, 2016 :  Having no hopes for regularisation of their services, the Sarv Sikhy Abhiyan/RMSA Office Employees Union in a peculiar way today advertised the anti-youths and anti-employees policies of the Punjab Government by distributing “Carry Bags” made of cloth printed with a list of demands

In a press note to the media, Sarbajeet Singh Turna, District President and Rajinder Singh, State Press Secretary said, despite passing of two months of giving assurance for issuance of notification for regularisation of their services and merger in the education department but  no action has so far been initiated.

A panel meeting was also held on April 24, under the tutelage of Chief Minister, Parkash Singh Badal in the presence of Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema, Education Minister was also present but no proceedings have so far been initiated.

Janak Singh and Pawan Kumar, District Vice Presidents said, the government is adopting the dilly-dallying policy in regularisation of services in education department for which there is a great resentment among the employees.

Today, the distribution of carry bags highlighting the poor policies of the government at the bus stands, bazaars, railway stations etc to expose the government, they added.

Giving a warning to the government, they said, in case their demands are not accepted, a state level rally will be organized on July 6 at Mohali to register our strong protest.

What is printed on the bags ?

  • Appeal for regularization of services of employees working on temporary basis for the last 12 years;
  • Complete stoppage of contract system and exploitation of youths;
  • Appeal to fulfill the promises made at the time of contesting elections by Akali-BJP.
  • Withdrawing the policy of working on low pay –basic pay at the time of joining of government service;
  • Withdrawing of two years extension policy at the time of retirement to give opportunities to youths waiting in queue for government jobs.
