SAD(A) and like-minded outfits boycott Independence Day celebrations
Ferozepur, August 15, 2019: Boycotting the 73rd Independence Day celebrations here today, Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) and like-minded outfits today celebrated as Black Day and protested outside the DAC complex under the tutelage of Dr.Sujit Singh Khalastani, Dr.Kuljit Singh Dal Khalsand Surjit Singh Sarpanch Behram Ke, to express their grievances against the government.
Speaking on the occasion, they highlighted the double faced character of the Congress government on the issues like – no justice in the sacrilege cases, CBI’s closure report, relief to the killers of police employees and non release of Sikhs who have completed their sentenced term, not giving the independent right to Punjab, not arresting the DGP Sumedh Saini, not mentioning the name of Dera Chief in Maur bomb blast, no action on the river waters – make the Sikhs a feeling that they are not resident of free nation.
They also condemned the revoking of Section 370 and Article 35A in Jammu and Kashmir. Expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri women, they assured all kind of help to them and warned that raising fingers against the Kashmiri women by certain leaders will not be tolerated.
