SAD Sarpanch wife kidnapped in broad day light in Ferozepur

Ferozepur, December 19, 2016: Defying odds to the police administration in Ferozepur, few unidentified assailants, armed with sharp edged weapons and guns, attacked at the residence of a SAD Sarpanch and allegedly kidnapped his wife. The incident took place today afternoon at Village Doomni Wala, just few kilometers away from District Police Headquarter.

The Sarpanch has been identified as Manjeet Singh. As per the eyewitnesses, 15-20 unidentified persons attacked at the residence of Akali Sarpanch and kidnapped his wife Gurmeet Kaur (imaginary name) on the tip of the arms and fled from the spot. The news spread like wild fire in the village. As soon as the matter was reported, the police officials reached the spot. However, till now the police failed to trace Gurmeet.

The police is trying its level best to nab the culprits behind the incident. The police is investigating on the various aspects and very soon we will find the person who has been kidnapped, said SSP Ferozepur R.K.Bakshi.

Meanwhile a case under sections 365/452/148/ 149 IPC 25/27/54/59 Arms act was registered at Kulgarhi Police Station against 15-20 unidentified persons (Case number 143 Dated 19.12.2016).
