Ferozepur, October 30, 2020:  “Same status quo…we don’t have any orders for running of trains..but we are ready for it as soon as issue is sorted out”, said Additional Divisional Rail Manager, Sukhwinder Singh, in a message over the running of trains in Punjab.

On Thursday also, ADRM has said that no trains services have resumed amid speculation that trains services had been restored in the agitation hit state.  However, railways are ready with its infrastructure for operation of train on tracks as soon as the instructions are received from the headquarter.

The railways had made it clear that under the present circumstances, when farmers are holding the protests near the tracks at various points, it is not possible to start the operation.

Earlier, the tracks were cleared for goods trains but due to blockade of the same at Moga and Talwandi Sabo, the railway banned the inward movement of rakes in Punjab as under the restrictive and dictated environment, the movement of trains cannot be carried which involve the planning and safety well in advance.

It is added that the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee – KMSC, which is leading rail blockade since September 24 today also had a meeting at Ansal village which was attended by State President Satnam Singh Pannu and presided over by  District President, Inderjit Singh  Bath, KMSC at vllage Ansal where in farmers from Moga and Fazilka an also participated and discussed a number of important issues.

 

They had taken a decision that on November 5, Kisan Mazdoor Jathebandi would call a complete shutdown in 10 districts on the call of Bharat Bandh from 12 noon to 4 pm. The state level permanent morcha will be at  Jandiala Guru railway track and Ferozepur Fazilka Moga districts will be held from November 3 to 5 .He added that this morcha will continue till the repeal of anti-farmer bills.
