Rozgar camp proves boon for unemployed youths, 75 selected at Ferozepur
Ferozepur, June 23, 2022: District Employment Generation, Skill Development & Training, Ferozepur in collaboration with District Administration organized Rozgar Camp in DAC complex in which 75 unemployed youth were gainfully employed by a renowned company.
District Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Officer Harmesh Kumar said that this employment camp was attended by Elena Auto Industries Pvt. Ltd. in which 103 candidates appeared and out of which 75 candidates have been shortlisted by the company.
Gurjant Singh, Placement Officer, DEGSD conducted counseling for the candidates attending the camp, motivating them to choose the right profession according to their educational qualifications as well as the online portal of Punjab Government www.pgrkam. com and www.ncs.gov.in. The candidates were also put wiser about the available services like free training, self-employment schemes, skill courses, etc., and avail of the services being provided by the government from time to time, to make the youths employable in different fields.
PO informed that during the last year, as many as 39 placement camps were organized in the Ferozepur district, in which around 98 employers participated. In all, 19,053 vacancies were available whereas 12,188 candidates appeared. However, 6,868 eligible candidates were selected for employment in different companies.
