Report sale of flu, cough, cold medicine, Civil Surgeon to chemists
Ferozepur, April 25, 2020: Taking its fight against the corona pandemic to another level, the Civil Surgeon has asked the chemists to report the sale of medicines to a person for treatment of flu, cough, and cold, said Civil Surgeon Navdeep Singh.
Civil Surgeon said, the health department is keeping a complete check to tackle the menace of the spread of coronavirus as per the COVID Guide Lines and with one corona positive case surfacing in the district, the entire health department is working with dedication and devotion besides making adequate arrangements for quarantine and isolation wards.
To keep a tab on potential patients has directed all the zonal licensing officers in the State to instruct the chemists in their jurisdiction to send a report to the concerned Civil Surgeon, as and when they dispense the medicines either on their store or by way of home delivery to any person for the treatment of flu, cough and cold, said Civil Surgeon.
He said, all those persons who have come from abroad or from other states or districts who were in contact with the positive cases have been asked to remain in isolation for 14 days.
He advised the people to maintain social distancing of 2 m to prevent the spread of viruses besides washing hands with sanitizers frequently. People should not become panicky and follow the instructions of the government from time to time and move out only in an emergency that too by wearing masks.
