Police at war with drug traffickers in Ferozepur, booked 13 in fortnight

Ferozepur, June 27, 2019: Ferozepur Police is at war with drug traffickers with arrest of 13 persons in a fortnight and recovery of drugs and drug money.

In a fortnight, the Ferozepur police have booked 13 persons under NDPS Act and IPC with recovery of heroin, drug money and stolen bikes, by tightening a noose on the drug peddlers and bike lifters, as part of War Against Drugs.

 

Giving this information, DSP Surinder Bansal said, the aim of the police is to crack the supplies so that new consumers are not made addicted to drugs.  We focus on busting drug lords to cut the supplies.

 

The police force working on the various inputs, have booked eight persons under NDPS Act in six different cases and five in four cases under IPC Sections.

 

He further said, the local police station SHO Jatinder Kumar has done a commendable job just in a fortnight the recovery of 350 gm heroin, 18 gm smack, 5.25 kg Cannabis, 50 capsules, 11 bottles of Avil, electronic weighing scale and drug money of Rs.2.35 lac, AC, LCD, and gold besides 13 stolen motor cycles’ of the value of Rs.6.50 lac.

 

DSP said, two arrested with motorcycles namely Ravinder Singh of Bag Wali Ali Ke Road and Baljinder Singh Pacharia Palla Megha, will be produced in the court to get remand for further investigation.

 

He said in all the cases, in-depth investigations are going to bring on surface the links of drug peddlers and bike lifters gang. 

The cooperation of the residents is more important to reach at the starting point of supplies for which DSP solicited feedback to work swiftly to nab the persons involved in this profession, spoiling the youths.
