Railways cancel, short-terminate, divert 21 trains in Punjab due to farmers agitation
Ferozepur, January 5, 2021: Due to on-going farmers agitation in Punjab, the railways has issued fresh trains operation plan for cancellation, short-termination and diversion of 21 trains in Punjab, in a press release by Northern Railway by Deepak Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officers, Northern Railway.
The major four trains cancelled are Darbhanga-Amritsar Express on Jan. 29 and 30 and Sealdah-Amritsar Express on Jan. 29 and Jan. 31. Among the short terminated four trains are Nanded-Amritsar Explress, Korba-Amritsar Express on Jan. 29 and Jan 31.
In the 11 diverted trains are Mumbai Central-Amritsar for Jan. 28, Amritsar-Mumbai, Bandra-Amritsar, Jaynagar-Amritsar, Nagpur-Amritsar, Jammutawi-Sambalpur via Pathankot, Jalanahdr, Howerah-Amritsar and Amritsar Newjalpaiguri for Jan. 29 via Tarntaran-Beas.
