Railway Help Line Number will be a boon for rail passengers : Khan
Ferozepur, July 19, 2015: The Railway Board has decided to replace the existing 4 digit Help Line number 1322 to 3 digit 182, to be used in the event of any theft, dispute or teasing with the female passengers. The existing help line number will be withdrawn shortly.
With the introduction of Help Line Number, the passengers can now travel easily on local and long route journeys as it will work on both routes.
What is in 182 Help Line Number?
Giving information in this context, S.S.Z.Khan, Senior Security Commissioner said, the system of help line number is that it works on all routes of trains in the event of any theft or dispute. It will be more beneficial for female passengers in case of any eve-teasing by any passenger as by dialing this number, the Railway Protection
Force cops will be available at the gate of the bogie at the next railway station. This help line has been connected directly with the railway headquarters at Baroda House Control Room. Simply the passenger has to dial this number from mobile to inform the control room about the incident.
This help line number will not be less than a boon for the passengers, he added.
After few days, the existing 4digit 1322 help line number will be withdrawn and in its place 3digit 182 will work permanently for use the passengers travelling in the train.
