Ferozepur, June 12, 2020: A senior railway officer with symptoms of Covid-19 has been sent for 14-days quarantine as per medical protocol under Covid-19 instructions. His blood sample has been sent for Covid-19 testing and report is still awaited.
Giving this information, DRM Ferozepur Rajesh Aggarwal said, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer –SDME in Divisional Rail Manager’s office after returning from Delhi on June 1, was instructed for 14-days home quarantine as per the advisory of the Government of India.
During this time, he worked from home. Due to uneasy feeling on 10 June, he was admitted in Divisional Rail Hospital Ferozepur. However, during the investigation, his oxygen level was low and some infection was found in the X-ray report and on June 11, for further investigation, he was referred to CMC Ludhiana. His Covid-19 sample was sent for lab testing on June 12, the report of which will be received after 48 hours, said DRM.
He further said, meanwhile, the entire divisional office, railway hospital, railway colonies and other railway places has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized under the supervision of Health Inspector besides following the protocol directions.
