Paras Kapoor and many other candiates candidates have alleged in a memorandum to the local MLA Rural, Joginder Singh Jindu that the no weightage is being given to the simple Graduate degree holder.
According to the eligibility criteria stated on the website of the PSSSB, it is clearly written that ‘Candidate must be passed Graduation Degree from any recognized or reputed University/Institution.
Sources said, the candidates holding the Bachelor of Arts degree on having passed the required test, are being kept at the tail end when they too have appeared and passed the test along with the other passed graduates in other streams like science, agriculture, commerce etc.
In the memorandum submitted to the MLA Rural to take up the matter with the government, the simple graduate candidates have demanded that the merit of the pass applications, be prepared also keeping in view the candidates with BA qualification as the general candidate merit is likely to touch up to 65 per cent. Likewise the merit for SC and BC candidates is also to touch higher percentage as majority of the candidates are having B.Com, B.Sc. and B.Tech qualifications which always have higher percentage as there are no practicals’ in simple graduation.
